Join Ian for Iron Yoga, a strength-building practice that combines Yoga poses with weight training for a full body workout!
Iron Yoga employs traditional Hatha Yoga poses that demand focused attention and breath control. Light dumbbell weights (1-5 lbs) are employed to add resistance in isometric static holds, and isotonic (contraction and extension) muscle movements. Iron Yoga unites movement with breath, and movement with enhanced body awareness. Iron Yoga is scalable, permitting a healthy and safe practice through varying the weight used, the depth of the yoga poses, and the length of time spent in each pose.
Iron Yoga provides an opportunity to tone and strengthen the entire body while improving balance and mental focus.
There are only 6 Certified Iron Yoga Instructors in Canada and Ian is one of them!
We will use light weights (2 to 5 lb), we do have some in studio but please do bring your own if you have some
